A Memorial Place For All Our Loved Ones

#loveforthelost

About Us

We as a family originally started the heart of stones as something to remember our Mam/ Nanna, who we sadly lost to Covid. It was a much harder job than we first thought but after 8 long weeks dragging stones down the mountain in freezing cold and wet weather, it was finished.
This grew much larger than we anticipated and after hearing all the stories of others who were in similar situations, we started asking for names of people who have lost their lives during the pandemic to be written on flags within the heart.
Our next goal is to place 2 memory benches overlooking the heart from the generous donations we have received.
We will always remember them, they will never be forgotten.

Virtual WEEKEND June 11th-13th

Join us for this very poignant and special virtual on the weekend of June 11th-13th. As Covid and the pandemic begins to ease we have realised how lucky we have been to come out the other side. Over 120,000 people lost their lives to the pandemic. One remarkable lady Bev Johnson set up the Bwlch Heart of Stones after losing her mam. This incredible monument is on the side of the Bwlch mountain and consists of a heart of yellow stones and flags with the names on hundreds of people who lost their lives. This event is open to anyone who wants to walk or run any distance over the weekend in June. For your entry of £15 you will receive a huge 100mm bespoke medal, a bag of yellow heart chocolates and £2 will go towards funding some memory benches.
